Flitch Coffee is another F-named coffee shop on the east side of Austin that could easily be missed when driving by, as it’s somewhat hidden by fencing and located right next to a lumber shop. As you drive (or bike) into the parking lot, you’ll feel as if you’re approaching an old warehouse. The 1952 Spartan trailer appears as the cutest little coffee shop with all outdoor seating. It has a wide array of seating—picnic tables and miscellaneous benches built from the wood from the lumber shop next door. This is one of the more unique places that I love bringing out-of-town guests. When my mom was in town, I brought my mom here and she loved the funky unique personality of it. Flitch has really friendly baristas and you truly feel the local vibe, when spending time here. I typically only drink black coffee, but I overheard at least 5 orders being called out for the Maple Latte on Sunday morning, so that seems to be the fan favorite!
